My Arts Council work took me all around the State; Eastern Shore, Western mountains, north and south and most intensively, city of Baltimore with its diverse neighborhoods and people. I sketched on most trips out of Towson, where we lived, and based on sketches I produced numerous landscapes and portraits. Depending on the season and weather I either used a small outdoor patio at home or a corner of my Baltimore office to work up paintings. Baltimore’s museums and those nearby in Washington DC provided much pleasure and insporation for myself and my family. The McCormick Spice company (headquartered in Baltimore) purchased 10 landscapes for their headquarters.
